Caregiver Resources

Welcome to the Home Care Services Pasadena Resource minute. There are a wide variety of factors when considering in home help in Pasadena. Because most families have not thought about these factors and the various options, finding solutions to challenges of caring for a senior at home can be daunting.

One of those challenges is simply where that person is living. The family home and the place where someone is comfortable may not be appropriate given age, health issues, and even limited mobility.
There are many resources and the Pasadena area and Home Care Services tries to identify those resources and provide education and information to the community. One of those resources can be a real estate agent who can assist in finding a home where, along with in home help, a senior can maintain independence and avoid having to vivid in a nursing home or other facility. We spoke with Rosemarie Gordon of Coldwell Banker.
She is a local real estate agent and specializes in finding solutions for seniors and real estate options that will accommodate the elderly as they tried to maintain their independence and live at home. Here is what Rosemarie had to say when we asked her about her services and what she specializes in.
I work with seniors and helping them with their real estate needs. As you know a lot of times in life there are transitions that happen. People may either be looking to downsize, or they are looking for a house to age in place. Many times people end up buying a two story home and then eventually decide that no, we need a one story now.
I am really looking to work with the caregivers and their family members in assisting them with any needs that their loved ones might have. I do have a network of people and organizations that provide various services such as in-home care or assisted living. So it is basically a big family.
I help them with the real estate needs and all that that entails. And then also helping them by referring them to other services that they might need in the community.
